Guy from Rochdale: "My course is plagued by spiders who continually weave webs in the little wooded areas around the greens. This is particularly the case at dawn, when I like to get up and play my golf. It's a right pain and I think I should get some sort of relief from it. Can you help?"
Kristy says: "Normally, requests like this are filed in the bin Guy, but I may be able to help you here. The R&A have ruled that spiders are similar to insects and so should be regarded as loose impediments. Consequently, any spiderwebs can also be considered as loose impediments and so you can get relief under rule 23-1."
